Legal Notice and Contact

Who operates Thailandka, where we are registered, and which address to use for a privacy, accessibility, correction, copyright or complaint question.

Effective 9 September 2026 · Last updated 9 September 2026

Who is behind Thailandka, where we are registered, and how to reach us. The table below says which address to use for what. Where this page says working days, we mean Monday to Friday in Thailand, not counting Thai public holidays.

Who operates this website

Thailandka is operated by to be supplied: registered company name (to be supplied: registered company name (Thai script)), a to be supplied: legal form (e.g. private limited company) registered in Thailand under company registration number to be supplied: Thai company registration number, with its registered office at to be supplied: registered address in Thailand. We publish the site at www.thailandka.com. That is the 13-digit company number the Thai Department of Business Development gave us when the company was registered, and letters sent to that address reach us.

Thailand is the only country we are based in. We have no office, branch or subsidiary in the European Union, the United Kingdom, Israel or anywhere else.

General enquiries:to be supplied: general contact address

Some companies must appoint a Data Protection Officer — a named person responsible for privacy. We do not have one, and neither section 41 of the Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 nor Article 37 of the GDPR requires us to. Privacy questions go to the address below, and we will run that test again if what we do with data changes.

Registrations and marks

This site carries no trust mark, seal, certification or verification code. We publish only registrations we actually hold. Thai law changed on 5 June 2024: a Thai limited company or registered partnership no longer registers separately for e-commerce, so there is no e-commerce registration number for us to show and no entitlement to the "DBD Registered" mark.

We are not a travel agent, tour operator, accommodation provider, broker or reseller, and we do not act for any of them. What Thailandka is and is not, in full, is in our Terms of Use.

Our representative in the European Union

We publish this site in Spanish and Italian and we address travellers who live in the EU, so the GDPR applies to us under Article 3(2)(a) even though we have no establishment there. Article 27 then requires a representative established inside the Union. Ours is:

Our representative in the European Union under Article 27 of the GDPR:to be supplied: EU representative (GDPR Art. 27)

You can write to our representative instead of writing to us, about anything to do with your personal data, and so can a data protection authority. A message sent there has reached us. In the words of the law, our representative is mandated to be addressed, in addition to or instead of us, by supervisory authorities and by you, on all issues related to our processing of personal data. That does not move responsibility away from us: we remain the controller, and you can still take legal action against us directly.

Which address to use

Two subjects have an address of their own, because the law puts a clock on them: privacy and accessibility. Everything else reaches the general address, deliberately — an inbox nobody reads is worse than a shared one that is read.

A copyright complaint or a takedown noticeto be supplied: general contact addressHandled on the faster timetable in our takedown procedure, which also says what to send.

Privacy and data-protection requests

Privacy and data-protection requests:to be supplied: privacy contact address(Access, objection, correction, erasure — or a question about any of them. There is no request form and no account; an email is the whole process.)

We answer within 30 days of receiving your request, and sooner if the law that applies where you live gives you a shorter deadline. There is no charge. Why one number covers both Thai and European law is explained in how to make a request.

If we cannot do what you asked, we say why inside the same period and point you to the regulator and the courts. We ask for identifying information only if we genuinely cannot otherwise find data relating to you, and we ask for the least we can. Your rights and the honest limits on some of them are in your rights over your data.

Writing to us is itself something we do with your data. We receive your email address, whatever you put in the message, and our reply. We keep the exchange while we are dealing with the matter, and afterwards only for as long as we need it to show that we dealt with it — then we delete it. We do nothing else with it: no list, no marketing, no profile.

Reporting an accessibility barrier

If something here does not work for you, tell us. For example: you cannot reach it with a keyboard, your screen reader skips it, the text is too faint to read, or a button is too small to tap. Send us the address of the page and what went wrong. You do not need to name a standard or a technique.

Accessibility barrier reports:to be supplied: accessibility contact address(Also the address to use if you need something from this site in a different format.)

We reply within five working days. If we confirm the barrier, we fix it as soon as we can and no later than 60 days from the day your message reaches us, and we tell you when it is done. While the fix is in progress we give you another way to get the information or finish what you were doing. Every message is logged with the date it arrived, so the clock is a real one. How we tested and what we already know is broken is in our Accessibility statement.

Advertising and affiliate questions

Questions about our commercial relationships — how we are meant to be paid, whether that could ever affect the order results appear in, how a disclosure is worded, or a request to work with us — go to the general address, marked for partnerships. Today no booking site pays us anything, and most of the answer is already in how we make money and how we rank results.

Complaining to a regulator

Thailand. For personal data, the Office of the Personal Data Protection Committee — สำนักงานคณะกรรมการคุ้มครองข้อมูลส่วนบุคคล — takes complaints under section 73 of the PDPA: pdpc.or.th. For a consumer complaint about a Thai trader, the body is the Office of the Consumer Protection Board, สำนักงานคณะกรรมการคุ้มครองผู้บริโภค.

European Union and EEA. For personal data, complain to the authority of the country where you live, where you work, or where you think the problem happened. Because we have no establishment in the EU, none of them is "ours" and each can act on its own. The European Data Protection Board keeps the list of national authorities.

If your complaint is about something other than your personal data — a price, a description, an advertisement — your national consumer authority can act against us even though we are outside the EU. For free help with a trader based outside your own country, contact the European Consumer Centres Network, which has an office in every EU country, Iceland and Norway.

Some EU countries have official bodies that settle disputes between shoppers and traders without going to court. We do not belong to any of them. We are a Thai company, so no country's scheme covers us, and we will not name one that does not. Your routes are the two above. The EU's Online Dispute Resolution platform is gone as well: it stopped accepting complaints on 20 March 2025 and closed on 20 July 2025.

An accessibility complaint has routes of its own, including one in Israel — see if we do not put it right.
